Margaritas
Did you know that it was El Camino Cantina that brought the ‘Rita’ to Australia? That’s right: while every other bar was serving a run-of-the-mill margarita, or ‘marg’, El Camino was perfecting a true, Tex-Mex-style Rita, boosted with a secret mix of tequila, Triple Sec, and heaps of fresh lime juice.
And that’s where the secrecy ends: because there is nothing hush-hush about these margaritas anymore, which have a deserved cult-following nation-wide!
- Style: while traditionally served ‘on the rocks’, we also offer a wickedly delicious frozen blend that Texans claim to have created
- Flavours: our revolving line-up of Rita offerings truly showcase the versatility of Tex-Mex flavour profiles. All venues always serve our signature Classic, Mango, Strawberry and Calypso Crush flavours, but we also occasionally add a special Margarita of the Month to the menu
- Sizes: go hard or go home! Our Ritas are served in two traditional, generous Tex-Mex sizes Aesthetics: we serve our Ritas in our legendary hand-blown glassware, shipped in directly from Texas itself!
- Cadillacs: there is a Tex-Mex tradition of serving a sweet/sour Rita with a smooth, rich float of a premium, orange-flavoured liqueur called Grand Marnier, which we proudly honour at El Camino. The luxurious finish has earned its equally luxurious name: the Cadillac Margarita!
